October 22, 2008 regular village board meeting
Minutes of the regular village board meeting for the Village of Wonewoc, held on 10-22-08.
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Village President
Roll Call: Byington, Kevin Jennings, Norling, Scott Jennings, Roehling Absent: Laubscher Rick Field
Action Taken:
1. Motion to Approve the Bills as presented, by Norling, 2nd by S. Jennings. Motion carried unanimously.
2. Motion to Approve the minutes of the previous meeting, by S. Jennings, 2nd by Byington. Motion carried unanimously
3. Motion to award the contract for Center St. water-main to J&J Underground, LLC, by S Jennings, 2nd by Norling. Motion carried unanimously
4. Motion to approve the easement to be granted to the Village on the end of Vine St, thru parcel 398, for the use of vehicle traffic, snowmobiles, or ATV, by Norling, 2nd by Byington Motion carried unanimously
5. Motion to Rescind the Drug Dog ordinance, by S Jennings, 2nd by Norling 6. Motion to appoint Margaret Hubele (sp?) and Julie Lankey Smallwood to the
Library Board for 3 year terms each, by S. Jennings, 2nd by Norling. 7. Motion to change the date of the Nov meeting to Tuesday, November 25, by
Roehling, 2nd by S. Jennings. Motion carried unanimously 8. Motion to approve the hiring of Tyler Brown subject to psychological
examination approval, and acceptance of 10.50 an hour while on training hours (max of $1000 for cost), by S. Jennings, 2nd by Byington. Motion carried unanimously.
9. Motion to approve the application for a credit card for the librarian us only, up to a maximum amount of $1,000.00, by S. Jennings, 2nd by Norling. Motion carried with one nay vote.
10. Motion to move into closed session pursuant to 19.85 (1) (c) for discussion of employee wages and compensation, by Roehling, 2nd Byington. Motion carried unanimously.
ACTION TAKEN OF CLOSED SESSION ITEM
1. Motion to provide a $0.20 per hour to each employee of the village, except the Utility Billing clerk, who is to receive $0.35 per hour. The village administrator is not part of this package, by S. Jennings, 2nd by Roehling. Motion carried unanimously.
2. Motion to adjourn by K. Jennings and 2nd Roehling. Motion carried unanimously.
