November 30, 2005 regular village board meeting
Village of Wonewoc Proceeding of regular Village Board meeting November 30, 2005.
The meeting was called to order pursuant to the posted and published notice. The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm. The following trustees present for meeting: Field, Norling, Jennings, Roehling, Miller, and Decot. Absent: Ott.
Motion by Jennings, seconded by Norling to approve the bills and vouchers for the month of November. Motion carried.
Motion by Miller, seconded by Jennings to approve the minutes of the October 26, 2005 board meeting. Motion carried.
Police 1. October had 68 calls for service. 2. Investigations continuing on cases going back as much as a year. 3. Busy at night with underage drinking, crew few violations, etc. 4. Seeing an increase in sexual assaults. 5. Sherriff's Dept has been slow to respond to calls from Village residents when

Wonewoc PD not on duty. 6. Request re-visits adoption of ordinance regarding underage possession and
purchase of cigarettes and tobacco products. Currently these tickets have to go to County. Need Village ordinance to be consistent with other Village ordinances that go the Regional Center Municipal Court.
Agenda:
1. 2006 Budget Public Hearing was held Monday, November 28, 2005. Only a few citizens at large were in attendance. Motion to approve 2006 Budget as presented at Public Hearing by Roehling. Seconded by Field. Motion carried.
2. Motion by Norling to not purchase an ice rink for South Town Park due to significant increase d cost when Village started to purchase the rink. Seconded by Miller. Motion carried. Discussion on flooding tennis courts this year for an ice rink.
3. Motion by Field, seconded by Miller to accept credit card payments for utilities and property taxes through Official Payments Corporation. Motion carried.
4. Motion to purchase a through the wall drop box for utility and property tax payments for $250 by Jennings. Seconded by Roehling. Motion carried.
5. Motion by Jennings, seconded by Norling for the Village to repay the Wolfenden Foundation the quarterly interest payments that the Wolfenden Trust Fund has been sending to the Village General Account. The amount to be transferred is $17,014.00. Motion carried.
6. Motion by Field, Seconded by Roehling to appoint Steve Roy as Member-at-Large to the Wolfenden Foundation Board. Motion Carried.
7. Motion by Field, seconded by Jennings to adopt Ordinance No. 2005- to regulate Outdoor and Refuse Burning with the following changes: location must be at least 25 feet from all existing lot lines. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
1. Chuck Straub asked if the Board had considered alternative energy sources i.e. wind towers/generators. He was told the Village will look into alternative energy sources.
Communication/Announcements:
1. Bohn reported two of the three repairs required by the DNR have been done and a letter sent to them giving details of the completed work. Inspection of water system on November 16 by DNR went well. DNR happy with what the Village had done. Well House needs to be re-roofed and the pump rehabbed.
Motion by Jennings, seconded by Norling to adjourn at 8:30pm. Motion carried.
