Jessie Stout asked if he could organize a cancer drive using Pink Flamingos that are passed around from house to house in the Village. When a person gives a donation to the Pink Flamingo, the donor will tell Jesse whose yard to place the Flamingo in. The Board agreed to this on the condition that Jessie would be responsible for it. This would include putting an article in the local newspapers to let people know what was being done.
Communication/Announcements:
1. Jim Bohn – The well is finished. He has sent in one sample and will be taking the second required sample Tuesday and will either send it or drive it to Baraboo so we can put the well back in service. The water line is in at the Canoe Landing. The slab for the fountain needs to be poured but the fountain is not in yet. He found another valve leaking when they put in the water line and expressed concern that since this is the second valve of this type that is leaking we may have a problem with the other 34 valves as well. Most of the valves are located under the middle of Hwy 33. There needs to be a valve and hydrant installed at the school. The well house is going to be painted on the outside.
2. Norlingreportedthattheworkonthetenniscourtisscheduledtobe completed on July 19, 20, and 21st.
3. K.Jenningsreportedthatsincehehasreceivednoresponsefromother companies, he is working with Alliant Energy to have the breakers rebuilt.
4. Roehling reported that the Washington Street Project has been started. The road has been pulverized and the culverts are ordered.
5. Miller reported that the area surrounding the library has been cleaned. They removed plants, bushes and vines that were hauled away by Jim Bohn. The Library is in the process of hiring a new assistant.
6. S. Jennings reported that the swimming pool is running smooth. He has a problem in that they need a life guard and someone over 18 on July 7th or the
pool will have to close for the day. Jessie Stout volunteered to be the over
eighteen person if they can get a life guard for the day. 7. Decot reported that the freshly painted curbs are looking good. There was
discussion about parking by the park. Motion by K. Jennings, seconded by Norling to adjourn at 7:50pm. Motion carried.
