Agenda:
1. Motion by Roehling, seconded by Norling, seconded by Field to approve Operator’s Licenses for Rachel A. Schuette and Susan K. Schnoor. Motion carried.
2. Attorney Roy gave update on the Claim from Attorney William J Rameker, Trustee for Raymond Frank and Shirley Marie Manguilli case. The Trustee of the bankruptcy has filed for an adversary hearing. A pretrial conference is scheduled in April and if this goes to trial it will be a later date. This suit is not being brought by the Manguillis. It is being brought by the Bankruptcy Trustee who is paid by the Bankruptcy for how much money he finds for the creditors.
3. Well #2 needs to be rehabbed. The last time it was done was in 1989 by CTW Corporation. Quotes have been received from 3 different companies. After discussion motion by Field, seconded by Roehling to accept maintenance agreement with CTW Corporation. Motion carried.
4. Washington Street project: Roehling reported that currently there are not updated estimates. New estimates will have to be received for the changing to concrete
curbs and gutters. Also culverts may need to be replaced. She will have quotes next month. Swimming Pool Project: Norling will look into cost of reroofing, fence replacement, putting steps into basement.
Baker’s Field: Norling had quotes for new wood frame shelter at $55,504 and a steel frame shelter at $60,787. This would be sturdier than wood frame Tennis/Basketball Court: Norling had a quote to completely redo the court of $32,430 which includes new fencing. Field suggested that Norling get more estimates for both the Tennis/Basketball Court and the Baker’s Field Pavilion and have the Village employees do the demolition work.
Canoe Landing: This must be completed by mid 2006. Work still needed includes
signs, landscaping, grading, and gravel the parking lot. 5. Closed session was tabled until next meeting since the person requesting it was
absent.
Public Comment:
1. Darold Hanold suggested the name “Lost District” Park for the canoe landing because this was the location where Wonewoc was started. He also was concerned about the poor police response time when Julie was not on duty.
2. Field requested a report on the Regional Center Municipal Court at the next meeting.
Communication/Announcements:
1. Miller requested the electric department to look into wind energy as several customers have been complaining about their electric utility bills. She also has had complaints about pit bull dogs that live along Center Street.
Motion by Ott, seconded by Norling to adjourn at 9:40p.m. Motion carried.
