Proceedings of regular Village Board meeting August 25, 2010.
Minutes
Roll Call: Rick Field, Nick Baldwin, Dennis Laubscher, Sherry Lankey, Scott Jennings, Kevin Jennings. Brian Byington arrived at 7:03pm
Bills and Vouchers: Motion by S. Jennings, 2nd by Baldwin. Passed unanimously.
Minutes of Previous Meeting: Motion by Field, 2nd by S. Jennings. Passed unanimously
1. Approve operator permit to Patrick Goodwin: Motion by Byington, 2nd by S. Jennings. Passed unanimously.
2. Approve blacktopping the roadways at the Pine Eden Cemetery. Motion by S. Jennings, 2nd by Baldwin to approve Scott Construction bid $10,684. Passed unanimously
3. Give the village finance committee authority to approve prep work bid for the Pine Eden Cemetery roadway project. Motion by S. Jennings, 2nd by Baldwin. Passed unanimously
4. Set the free Fall Clean-up Days as September 23 & 24 (Thursday & Friday) 9:00am to 6:00 pm and September 25 (Saturday) 7:00am to 11:00am. Motion by Lankey, 2nd by Byington. Passed unanimously.
5. Review bids and select engineering firm for Jiggle Creek grant project: Motion by Field, 2nd by Baldwin to select Vierbicher Engineering for the Jiggle Creek project. Passed unanimously.
6. Approve sending out Bid Specs for Sewer Plant clarifiers which are part of the Jiggle Creek grant project. Motion by Byington, 2nd by Baldwin. Passed unanimously.
7. Give Old Blue’s permission to hold a public auction in the Village Parking lot next to the Wonewoc Bakery on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 11am to 5pm. Motion by Byington, 2nd by S. Jennings. Passed unanimously.
8. Approve resolution to accept a $12K donation from the Jennings family for playground equipment at the Legion Park, which requires an additional $8K commitment from the F’11 general fund budget. Motion by Byington, 2nd by Baldwin. 5 yes, 2 abstain. Passed.
9. Discuss and possibly take action to approve new Fence Ordinance. Motion by Field, 2nd by Lankey. Roll call vote: Field – Yes, Baldwin – Yes, Laubscher – Yes, Lankey – Yes, Byington – Yes, S. Jennings – No, K. Jennings – Yes. 6 Yes, 1 No, Passed.
10. Approve appointment of Deb Danklefsen as the outside of the village representative to the Library Board (3 year term). Motion by S. Jennings, 2nd by Baldwin, Passed unanimously
