Proceedings of regular Village Board meeting April 27, 2011
MINUTES
Roll Call: Rick Field, Nick Baldwin, Dennis Laubscher, Sherry Lankey, Brian Byington, Scott Jennings, Kevin Jennings - Absent
Oaths of Office were administered to new board members
Motion by S. Jennings, 2nd by Baldwin to appoint Trustee Field chairman to conduct board meeting, in President Kevin Jennings absence. Passed unanimously
Bills and Vouchers: Motion to accept by S. Jennings, 2nd by Lankey passed unanimously
Minutes of Previous Meeting: Motion to accept by Baldwin, 2nd by Byington passed unanimously
1. Motion to approve Lee Kuchers attendance to the Wisconsin Town Lawyers Conference in Madison on Friday, April 29, 2011, mileage only by Lankey, 2nd by S. Jennings. passed unanimously
2. Motion to set dates for Open Book: Monday, May 16, 2011, 3:30pm to 5:30pm and
Board of Review: Wednesday, June 1, 2011, 3:30pm to 5:30pm by Baldwin, 2nd by S. Jennings passed unanimously.
Motion to appoint Trustee Rick Field as a member of the Board of Review, with Baldwin as alternate member by S. Jennings, 2nd by Byington passed unanimously
3. Motion to appoint Steven Roy, LaRowe, Gerlach & Roy SC as the Village Attorney by Lankey, 2nd by Baldwin passed unanimously
4. Motion to appoint Michelle Masters N.P. as Village Health Officer by Baldwin, 2nd by S. Jennings passed unanimously
5. Motion to designate the Village Hall bulletin board, Wonewoc Post Office and Baraboo National Bank-Wonewoc Branch, as the official locations of Public Notices of the Village by Lankey, 2nd by Byington passed unanimously
6. Motion to appoint new committee member for the 2011/2012 term: Swimming Pool - Randall Norling, Library - Randall Norling, by Lankey. 2nd by Baldwin passed unanimously.
7. Motion to approve extending the monthly Wonewoc Fire and Ambulance Association capital payment of $976.71 for the fire vehicle replacement fund for 2012, which is to be approved annually and is contingent on approval of the other townships by Lankey, 2nd by Byington passed unanimously
8. Motion to set a daily schedule to close the Bakers Field bathrooms at 8pm and open at 8am, 7 days a week from May 1st to the normal fall shutdown date. Hire Willy Doering at $375 for the 2011 season. (Same rate that DNR pays for bike trail restroom) by S. Jennings, 2nd by Baldwin passed unanimously
9. Motion to re-Hire the following for the 2011 Village Swimming Pool Year:
Pool Manager/Basket Person: Sandy Preuss $10/hr, Lifeguard: Lauren Klein $10/hr
Lifeguard: Emily Wolfenden $10/hr, by Norling, 2nd by Baldwin 6 yes, 1 no
Motion to hire Nancy Lally as the Adult Basket Person $7.25/hr by Norling, 2nd by S. Jennings passed unanimously
10. Motion to close Bridge Street and Center Street from intersection with N. East Street to intersection with Gordon Street, and Washington Street from intersection with Center Street to intersection with West Street, and to allow open intoxicants in non-glass containers, off premises on the 100 and 200 blocks of Center Street, contrary to current village ordinance, during Old Fashioned Day Celebration on May 14, 2011, from the hours of 6:00 am to 6:00 pm by S. Jennings, 2nd by Byington passed unanimously.
11. Motion to adjourn at 7:35pm by Baldwin, 2nd by Byington passed unanimously.
